I Graduated in 2014 from Brighton University with a 2:1 in Interior Architecture. The Brighton School of Architecture is a very creative school and produce a very unique style. A large emphasis was on creative concepts and questioning our beliefs. It was a challenge to adjust to this way of work as I prefer a more technical and methodical approach and side of the built environment. Because of this i have become confident In working in a variety of methods.
I am very keen on the use of new and unfamiliar materials more so than settling with the norm. This has lead me to continue my studies into the use of hemp as a building material as well as other "eco" friendly materials. I conducted a series of studies into different materials including a dissertation questioning to what extent Hemp can be used to replace our familiar building technologies.
I am currently Traveling the world in the search of new experiences. I have spent time buildings huts in Thailand and I am now in Hanoi hoping to start a job in Architecture. I have come to this dense city because of one of my favourite design companies MVRDV and their work exsploring new ways to take advantage of limited space in cities. At the same time I am continuing to develop a business plan using hemp to create carbon negative buildings.
