Cycle stations or cycle cafes are becoming more common in areas such as cities because of the high volume of cyclists. They are used as a form of garage and social network center for the community.
Romney marsh (SSI) has plenty of cycle routes therefore a cycle station was proposed.
My main design Que was to rise the space off the floor. Doing this meant that the users to see more of the low flat landscape. Secondly during the site visit i notices the lock at the site was used a lot by the locals to access the field for recreational use; therefore keeping the path open was important.
The center can also be used as a Para Motor base. The local club is based close by because of the areas heat patches.
I made sure that the materials were natural and the structure had limited ascetic and environmental damage.
